Day 2: Back to Maya Bay, Shark Point & Wang Long Bay
I’ll be honest – my first day at Maya Bay was a total disaster for content. My dress? Terrible choice. My DJI camera? Decided to act up, so half the videos didn’t even save, and the images that did come out looked… well, let’s just say they won’t be making it to the ‘gram.
That night, lying in bed scrolling through Instagram, I kept seeing all these beautiful saved reels of people doing the most aesthetic things at Maya Bay – walking along the shore, the perfect angle with the limestone cliffs, golden hour magic. And there I was with nothing usable. So I did what any self-respecting content creator would do – I convinced my partner we were going back the next day.
“Please? The lighting will be better tomorrow, I promise! And I’ll wear the right dress this time.”
Day 2 was redemption. The lighting was absolutely perfect, my camera behaved, and I finally captured those dreamy shots I’d been saving on Instagram for months. Worth every extra baht for that boat ride back.
After satisfying my content cravings, we went snorkeling again at Maya Bay and then headed to Shark Point. The name sounds scary, but don’t worry – the sharks here are small, harmless reef sharks that mind their own business. We also explored Wang Long Bay, a beautiful spot with calm waters, monkeys, and stunning scenery. Every corner of Phi Phi Island reveals something new and beautiful.
